Pop Starz Jade: A Review

VERDICT: WORTH IT
Dear Reader,
You guys. I didn't even know she had a light blue peekaboo! I know I'm probably late but I was so transfixed by her face that I didn't even realize she had some coloring in her hair. When I first saw Pop Starz Jade, I knew she'd be a hit in the collector community. I am so picky about my Jades because imo they do her so dirty sometimes (NO I don't like Scorchin' Jade and I'm probably the only one👀). Anyway, when I saw the shape of her eyes and the light blue eye shadow I really fell in love. I think she looks so dreamy and delicate. Plus, they finally did a nude lip right. She was the only one of the 4 Pop Starz whose beauty remained with or without the jacket.
Pop Starz Jade seems to be space cowgirl coded, which is another reason why I really like her. I love her jacket and boots-- especially the color: this shiny light blue/silver metallic-y look. I don't associate Jade with a light blue, but she is killing it in these colors. She also has a white guitar which is my favorite of the 4 and matches her outfit pretty well. I do have a few complaints, and one is that she came with some paint stained on her face from her microphone. I heard this is actually pretty common in this line, which is unfortunate. However, not to worry dear reader I'm sure most of you know but to anyone this reaches that happens to encounter this problem-- use acetone-based nail polish remover, just a tiny bit on a Q-tip and be careful! This is how you can also remove the face paint so be very mindful during the process! My other complaint is that I dislike her skirt but more on that below.
What I Love About Pop Starz Jade:
Her Theme: Space Cowgirl pop star performer, it's different and unexpected. I am also LOVING her in these color schemes.
Her Eye Makeup: light powder blue makes her look so delicate and soft. It compliments her beautiful brown eyes.
Her Hair: the light blue peekaboo surprised me. Her hairstyle is not my favorite, but she has a thick head of hair and no bald spots (unlike my Pop Starz Sasha)
Her Jacket: I love how its metallic and silver, so pop glammy and stylish too! I'm pleased to have it in my rotation of jackets.
What I Don't Love About Pop Starz Jade:
Microphone Smudge: as discussed above she came with a little smudge on her face from her mic. It's a quick fix, but I wanted to mention it since I've read it's an issue with this specific line.
Her Skirt: Seriously guys? Let's talk about this skirt. Once I saw underwear, I literally could not unsee. It looks like some underpants cut into a skirt! The band is a cute idea, don't get me wrong. But come on now, they could've made it any other color and material. I'm only more disappointed because I loved Pop Starz Cloe and Yasmin's skirt sooo much, and this one is just not doing it for me. I would've loved even just a pleated white skirt.
The Side Bows: I have a love/hate relationship with these bows. In some shots they cause a shadow on her face and can be, in general, very distracting. They're almost antenna like when they're all wonky! Don't get me wrong though, I like the bows and I think they're necessary and add to her look overall.
I would have to say, DO NOT MISS OUT on this beautiful Jade doll. As someone who is admittedly very picky about Jade screenings, Pop Starz Jade for sure passes my test. Between her dreamy expression, unexpected color palette, and glamorous space cowgirl jacket, she's a doll you will definitely keep coming back to.
